Administrative Assistant – Healthcare Operations & Community Outreach (PRN/PT Contract)

Hybrid work opportunities may be available based on agency needs and assigned responsibilities.

Premier Home Care Residential Service Agency

Pay: $18.00/hour
Employment Type: PRN / Part-Time Independent Contractor
Hours: Up to 6 hours per week; hours are not guaranteed
Schedule: Flexible weekday schedule
Work Hours: Assigned work must be completed between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on scheduled workdays

Position Summary

Premier Home Care is seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Administrative Assistant to support the Director with healthcare operations, administrative projects, community outreach, and agency development initiatives.

This is an opportunity to work closely with the Director and help build and strengthen a growing home care agency through administrative support, project coordination, outreach, research, communication, and implementation of agency initiatives.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative, stays organized, communicates professionally, and is comfortable taking on new projects and responsibilities as the agency develops.

Training will be provided on agency procedures, systems, communication expectations, outreach activities, and assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to the Agency Director and team.
  • Assist with healthcare agency operations and administrative projects.
  • Assist with HR-related administrative duties and documentation.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, training records, personnel files, and related documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling, meetings, follow-up, and administrative coordination.
  • Conduct professional telephone outreach to healthcare professionals, businesses, community organizations, and referral sources.
  • Assist with community outreach and relationship-building activities.
  • Assist with agency development and special projects.
  • Assist with and, when assigned, conduct team meetings and training activities.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, training materials, sign-in sheets, presentations, and other documents.
  • Research and gather information for agency projects and initiatives.
  • Manage email communication and follow-up.
  • Maintain contact lists, trackers, databases, and other agency records.
  • Assist with community events and educational outreach activities.
  • Track assigned projects and follow up on outstanding tasks.
  • Help organize information and resources needed to support agency growth.
  • Maintain confidentiality of agency, employee, client, and business information.
  • Complete other administrative duties and projects as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of administrative, office, healthcare, HR, customer service or project coordination experience preferred.
  • Project management or project coordination experience preferred.
  • Experience coordinating schedules, meetings, projects, outreach activities, or administrative tasks is a plus.
  • College coursework or an associate degree in business, healthcare administration, HR, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft 365 required.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable making professional outbound telephone calls.
  • Comfortable communicating with healthcare professionals, businesses, and community organizations.
  • Ability to assist with or conduct meetings and training.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable, professional, and dependable.
  • Able to work independently and complete assignments on time.
  • Able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Reliable transportation for occasional in-person meetings and community/field outreach.

Work Requirements

  • This position includes administrative work, telephone outreach, project coordination, independent assignments, and occasional in-person office and community/field activities.
  • Consistent weekday daytime availability is required.
  • Work must be completed between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on scheduled workdays.
  • Telephone outreach will be conducted through the company phone system.
  • Occasional in-person office meetings and training are required.
  • Occasional community/field outreach may be assigned.
  • Applicants must be comfortable working independently as well as participating in in-person activities when assigned.

Introductory Contractor Period

The position begins with an introductory contractor period of up to 10 days .

Continuation of the contract is based on agency needs, performance, reliability, communication, and the ability to complete assigned responsibilities.

Hours are based on agency needs and are not guaranteed .

Independent Contractor Status

This is a PRN / Part-Time Independent Contractor position.

Employee benefits are not provided during the contractor period.

If the position is later converted to permanent part-time employment, benefits may be available if applicable to the position and agency eligibility requirements.
