Job Summary: Prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations by following standard engineering practices and procedures.
Responsibilities: Prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations by following standard
engineering practices and procedures.
- Seeks code references and design direction from mentors.
- Performs individual aspects of electrical engineering as it relates to individually
assigned projects. This is inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Power distribution both primary distribution and secondary distribution
- Power generation including standby systems
- Lighting design and control, including both interior and exterior lighting
- Power conditioning and uninterruptible power supplies
- Telecommunications
- Security and surveillance
- Fire alarm
- Nurse call
- Lightning protection
- Performs self QC on work and plans for/seeks appropriate peer review of work.
- Meets with Clients regarding electrical engineering design and projects.
- Performs field work to document existing conditions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or an Architectural Engineering Degree
- Certifications/Registrations: Passing Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred
- Other Skills / Abilities:
- Ability to work in Revit/Microsoft Office/Visual Lighting Software
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service capabilities.
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to drive to project sites and perform customary field work.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Able to work in the United States.
- Responsible for understanding and embodying DWG's Culture Statement.
- Process correspondence efficiently, accurately and confidentially.
- Work independently and in a team environment
Location : Greenville, SC
Travel : To project sites and to meet with clients
