Oral Surgery Assistant

Role Overview: Assist oral and maxillofacial surgeons during surgical procedures including tooth extractions, implant placements, and jaw surgeries. Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and operatory rooms prior to procedures. Monitor and support patients during pre-op, intraoperative, and post-op care. Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the surgeon. Document patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories accurately in practice management software. Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and answer procedural questions. Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control standards.

full-time $26 - $30 per hour

• Basic life support
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

Experience: Dental assisting experience required
Skills: Familiarity with surgical instruments, IV sedation protocols, and sterile technique
Traits: Strong attention to detail, ability to anticipate surgeon needs, calm under pressure, excellent patient communication skills, and a compassionate chairside manner

Experience: Oral surgery or surgical assisting experience strongly preferred
